Privacy Notice

For the Founding Families application. Plain language, because you should actually understand it. Last updated: 2026-06-27.

For parents, guardians, and educators only — adults 18+. Children should not fill out the application. We collect adult contact information only. We do not collect any child's name, age, photo, school, or location.

What we collect

When you apply to the founding cohort, we collect only: your first name or alias, your email, your city/region (not a full address), your children's age range (a range only — never names or birthdates), and your short answer to one question. That's it.

Why, and what we do with it

Only to review your application and, if it's a fit, to contact you about the founding cohort. Accepted families are listed in our public FOUNDERS file by first name or alias, only with your consent — never full identity. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it

Right now: applications are sent directly to the maintainer by email — there is no third-party processor involved.

When the managed form is enabled: submissions will be processed by Formspree, which offers a GDPR Data Processing Agreement. We will name the processor here before it is switched on. See the project's founding-families doc for current details.

How long we keep it

Application data is kept only as long as needed to run the founding cohort. You can ask us to delete it at any time, for any reason, with no questions asked.

Your choices

To access, correct, or delete your data — or to be removed from FOUNDERS — contact a maintainer per SECURITY.md.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our full child-safety and privacy approach lives in docs/safety/ (child-safety, privacy-by-design, parent-consent, community-moderation, AI-use boundaries).
